PRESS RELEASE: Rufus Gifford Announces 37 Town ‘Coffee and Conversations’ Tour of Third District

Gifford meeting with residents at the Harvard General Store to talk policy over coffee

LOWELL —Rufus Gifford today released details of his ‘Coffee and Conversations’ tour of all 37 cities and towns within the Massachusetts Third Congressional District.

“While serving our country overseas, I loved getting out there to meet people for a coffee where they live, and that’s exactly what we’re doing with this campaign,” said Gifford, a first-time candidate who served as ambassador to Denmark under President Obama. “I want to hear directly from people across the district to bring their ideas into my congressional policy positions.”

Gifford has already held ‘Coffee and Conversations’ in Andover, Carlisle, Harvard, Hudson, Lowell and Marlborough. The campaign released the next leg of the tour today, with additional stops to be announced soon. All events are open to the public.
