PRESS RELEASE: Gifford Announces Weeklong 10,000-Door-Knocking Spree

LOWELL—Rufus Gifford, Democratic candidate for Congress in Massachusetts’ 3rd District, today announced the launch of a new initiative, #10KTogether. In the coming week, Gifford and his team of volunteers will knock on 10,000 doors throughout the district.

“#10KTogether is 100 percent a team effort,” said Gifford. “I absolutely love knocking on doors and talking to voters—building those human relationships is my favorite part of the campaign. But I can’t do this alone. That’s why we’re relying on our amazing group of volunteers and grassroots organizers, the true engine of this campaign. I’ll be knocking alongside them each and every day, and together I know we can achieve so much.”

Gifford continued: “Our campaign is all about creating genuine human connections, listening, and sharing our aspirational message far and wide. This grassroots strategy starts one conversation at a time. We know we win through handshakes, eye contact, and conversations, which is why canvassing is so critically important to us. It will be a big week ahead, but I know 10,000 doors in one week will be a big boost to help get us over the finish line.”

Over the course of the campaign, Gifford and his team have already knocked on tens of thousands of doors in all 37 cities and towns in the 3rd District.
