PRESS RELEASE: Gifford Receives Endorsement from Foreign Policy for America Action Network
Former U.S. Ambassador to Denmark endorsed by nonpartisan foreign policy organization
LOWELL — Rufus Gifford, candidate for Congress for Massachusetts’ third congressional district, today welcomed the endorsement of the Foreign Policy for America Action Network.
“I’m thrilled to receive the endorsement of Foreign Policy for America because I share their commitment to a foreign policy that upholds American values,” said Gifford. “At a time when the U.S. is acting recklessly on the world stage, we need active and engaged citizens more than ever to help restore American leadership and our moral example.”
“As the U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, Rufus Gifford personally demonstrated the power of American diplomacy to secure our interests around the world,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “Rufus will be a powerful voice for diplomacy at a time when too many in Washington seem hellbent on war.”
Gifford joins Ken Harbaugh (OH-7), Andy Kim (NJ-3), Tom Malinowski (NJ-7), Elissa Slotkin (MI-08), and Nancy Soderberg (FL-6) as candidates for Congress endorsed by the Foreign Policy for America Action Network in the 2018 election cycle.
