Group praises Gifford’s lifetime of service for LGBTQ rights

LOWELL—Rufus Gifford, Democratic candidate for Congress in Massachusetts’ 3rd District, today welcomed the endorsement from the LGBTQ Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing openly LGBTQ people who can further equality at all levels of government.
“I am so thrilled and honored to receive the Victory Fund endorsement,” said Gifford. “We have made so much progress in the fight for LGBTQ equality, but there is still so much more policy and political work to be done, and I will never stop fighting for our rights.”

Gifford received Victory Fund’s “Game Changer” status, which is awarded to candidates with the potential to have an outsized impact on equality at the federal level.
