PRESS RELEASE: Marlborough City Councilor Doucette Endorses Rufus Gifford for Congress

LOWELL—Rufus Gifford, Democratic candidate for Congress in Massachusetts’ 3rd District, today welcomed an endorsement from Marlborough City Councilor David Doucette.

“I am endorsing Rufus Gifford for the 3rd District congressional race,” said Doucette, who represents Ward 2 on the Marlborough City Council. “Many issues are confronting not only this region, but the country, including climate change, creating good jobs, and divisive politics.  Rufus is the right person to work and represent us in Washington during these harrowing times.”

 Doucette continued: “Our district is a very diverse community, and I believe that he has a positive vision for the future of our region and the broad experience in business and politics to represent our district. Rufus has demonstrated that he can serve the whole community.”
