PRESS RELEASE: State Rep. Naughton Endorses Rufus Gifford for Congress

LOWELL—Rufus Gifford, Democratic candidate for Congress in Massachusetts’ 3rd District, today welcomed an endorsement from State Representative Harold Naughton (D-12th Worcester).

“I wholeheartedly endorse Rufus Gifford for Congress,” said Naughton. “I’ve been impressed by Rufus because he understands the needs and concerns of our communities while also having the high-level national experience to actually get things done for us in Washington. That combination is critical. In today’s political environment, we need experienced representatives with a sincere intent of serving their constituents. When it comes to serving the needs of the 3rd Congressional District, Rufus checks off all of the boxes.”

The 12th Worcester district includes Berlin, Clinton, and Lancaster.

Naughton is the third Representative in the 3rd District to endorse Gifford. Gifford previously received endorsements from State Representatives Jennifer Benson (D-37th Middlesex) and Stephan Hay (D-3rd Worcester).
